贝罗奇奥是意大利国宝级导演之一，他不但深受威尼斯的追捧，同时也受到戛纳的厚爱。他曾五次入围威尼斯电影节主竞赛，并获得终身成就奖；同时，他又曾入围过六次戛纳主竞赛单元。去年，导演极其私人化的影片《吾血之血》在威尼斯收获无数好评。今年这部片，将围绕一个隐藏在信封内长达四十年的秘密所展开。本片为今年导演双周开幕片。
