简 介
麦德林（汤姆•克鲁斯 Tom Cruise 饰）的父亲是个战功显赫的老飞行员，他决心也要成为父亲那样的英雄。终于他的机会来了，他与军官古斯（安东尼•爱德华兹 Anthony Edwards 饰）一起被派到了高炮训练基地接受最严格的飞行训练。可是，麦德林的训练并不像预想中顺利，他在空中总是惊慌失措，成绩一直不满意，同学史奈德对他也颇有微词。麦德林爱上了美丽的女教官查理（凯莉•麦吉利斯 Kelly McGillis 饰），查理也渐渐爱上了有个性的麦德林，这令本来有些心灰意冷的麦德林重新鼓起了劲。教官在毕业前的一次训练中，麦德林与搭档古斯同驾一机。由于马达发生故障，麦德林与古斯被迫跳海，结果古斯不幸身亡。这次事件给了麦德龙沉重的打击，本来因学业不顺而郁郁寡欢的麦德林更加消沉了，他甚至已经想要放弃成为飞行员的梦想。麦德林最终能否克服心障重回蓝天？
